Born and raised in Africa, Gerhard lives with his family on a small farm in the Northeast Georgia mountains. He writes full-time. Back in South Africa he earned his black belt in dialogue by writing thousands of pages of radio scripts. He published three short stories in a national magazine and wrote two plays that were successfully staged. Here in the U.S. Gerhard earned a masters degree in theology from Emory University in Atlanta, published three non-fiction books, and has just completed his first novel.
